Hi All,

Since I upgraded to IE 7, I receive this message after exiting some websites: Current website is trying to open a site in your Trusted Sites list. Do you want to allow this?

I then am required to enter my complete email address and password. Even though I have checked the Security tab (Internet Options) requesting my email address and password be kept, this nuisance continues intermittently.

I use DSL with Verizon and their techs do not recognize the problem.

Please advise.
Thanks from Andrele

Nice - a software company that offers a block for one of it's own products. Where can I download a blocker for the continued domination of Microsoft products among the general public? I have yet to find a MS program that does anything that I can't do with various other software packages that are always faster, cheaper (often free), safer, and less bulky. BUT-I have to stick with MS if I want to access certain secure websites, share files with (nearly) everybody else in the world, and operate in a business environment.

i was fed up with the bugs from IE 7 beta and so went back to 6. weeks have passed and now it´s an auto update so i gave it a second chance.

forget it, the registry blocked the scanner and made HP director unresponsive.

ok roll back to 6

the fact HP and MS haven´t fixed this is ridiculous,

all the money they take from us, client care? total care? haha

the fact they offer a block on ie7 downloads says a lot.

they seem hell bent to try and work this "inferior feeling" through an in-built "obsolesence factor."

as rick says : if it ain´t broke don´t fix it

ps: i tested the opera browser out of boredom, i will say that it´s very very fast to load......

I have approximately the same problem. Since upgrading from IE6 to IE7, I have to enter my hotmail address and password every time I want to go to my home page. If anybody has a solution I'd be glad to know it, as after the thousandth time this gets tiresome. I can go to my My.MSN homepage via Opera or Firefox without this problem.

IE7 refused to keep any of my password/user ID/etc. cookies no matter what I did to the security settings. That is why I'm writing this on Firefox. Goodbye IE! You've lost another faithful customer!

Wow, I hate to say it because I have been a staunch Microsoft supporter over the years, but they seem to be making some bone head moves lately. IE 7, overall, works much better than 6 in function, but reports of problems with many online applications (like web mail) are not hard to find. I have three pieces of advice for those having problems with IE 7:

Don't use IE 7, use Firefox .

Make sure to keep up with Microsoft Updates as they 'patch' their way to making IE 7 stable.

Use System Restore to take your system back to IE 6.

Please help !

Very weird stuff going on here. I use Verizon as my DSL ISP and Outlook as my mail client. Ever since I 'upgraded' to IE7, some of my contacts don't receive my mails. My wife has the same laptop, the same setup and they get through on hers. I've read about IE7 breaking links in Hotmail, etc but have not run across this particular issue. Were can I find the setting to fix this? (Not in any blocked senders-recipient list in Outlook). Even my Netmail.verzion account won't work for the same few recipients.

Argh.

Just to clarify....
I use FF 2.0 exclusively. After both the wife and I reformatted, we were presented with IE7 on the Windows Update page (we wanted to patch the systems immediately after reformat. We believe this was the first day MS pushed through IE7 as a recommended update 11/3-4/06).

I'll look again but haven't seen any mention of IE7 breaking webmail.

IE has never been set as a default browser.

Thanks again, Scott

(A late night phone call to MS IE7 support yielded a rep that suggested I uninstall 7 and IE6 came back. After doing so he was unable to receive an email from me, lol.....:( So, if it's not a browser issue, not an Outlook issue, I'm at a total loss.

Still haven't found a resolution to this

Email structure should always be like this: name@emailprovider.com

If you don't have an @ symbol in the box or you put spaces accidentally in the address, it will be kicked out. Also, many registration sites require you to enter the address twice, so make sure it is typed exactly the same way twice.
