I will whole-heartedly agree that the Palm OS is much better to use and has better apps available. However, I struggled with my last Palm-based device every time I had to sync it to my desktop. That alone was enough to make me want to try a Windows-based PDA/phone. I've had it for about 6 months now and have never (knock on wood) had a sync problem - it is totally smooth and effortless. I've had the device lock-up a couple of times (must be a Microsoft "feature" of any Windows system), but never while sync'ed.

There are lemons and bad configurations for any device, digital or otherwise. Most Palms do not lock up during sync. If they did, they would have never become popular.

It will be a shame to see Palm disappear from the market only to have clunky Windows based devices take their place.
