Flat panel monitors (those diminutive, skinny, sexy monitors no thicker than a couple of inches) now come packaged with many new computers. Their price drops over the past year make also them attractive upgrades for existing systems. Flat panel monitors use the same technology as the monitors laptops use..LCD (Liquid Crystal Display).
These monitors look great and cause much less stress to our eyeballs, but sometimes the text can be extremely small to read. Because of these monitor’s technology (see links below for more info), adjusting the screen’s resolution may not be an option. Here are two techniques for flat panel and laptop users to make the viewing more comfortable:
1. RIGHT Click on a blank part of the desktop
2. Click Properties
3. Click the Settings tab
4. Click the Advanced button
5. Under the display setting you should see a DPI or font size setting and it will be set to Normal, click in this box and choose Large Size or 120 DPI. (if this size still is a little small, then click the custom setting and experiment with others)
6. Click OK twice, your computer may need to reboot to use the new setting
Secondly, you can adjust Window’s display scheme by following steps 1-2 above, then:
