Google Chrome Overview – Video Tip

Last week, Google released their own web browser, Chrome, to compete with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Many of you have asked my opinion and wondered what it all means. In a nutshell, I think that any competition is good competition. And with a name like Google behind the project, that adds even more fuel to the fire.

Google Chrome is fast, easy on the eyes, but offers few features that aren’t already available in Firefox, Opera, and other browsers. However, I think that more people are likely to use it because of the Google name, and they won’t be disappointed. Watch my video below for a quick introduction to Google Chrome and more commentary.

I would love to hear your comments about Google Chrome as well.

Computer systems aren’t absolute, so I can’t guarantee that you won’t have issues. I’m just saying, that I downloaded, I’m using it every day along side Firefox, and I’m not having problems.

Thanks for the great YouTube review on Google chrome. I was really looking forward to it, and you didn’t disappoint!
I already have Firefox and IE. If there are no conflicts between Chrome and the other browsers which could slow my pc down and/or cause “glitch” problems, I would like to install it.
Do you consider it completely safe to install Chrome in addition to Firefox and IE?
I also love your semi-new format of posting your YouTube videos in your weekly comments. Dyno-mite! Thanks again!

I don’t do much printing, but you are correct, you cannot currently use the “print selection” option with Google Chrome. Post a note to Google on their Chrome blog at: http://tinyurl.com/63gb8z

    Good summary Rick.
I will be staying with Firefox, but I might install Chrome to see it for myself.

I installed google chrome yesterday and it is very fast than the other browsers. Actually last night I was looking for poker betting sites (for writing an article on casino, iam aspiring writer) and book mark them in internet explorer. But when i installed chrome, same bookmarks can be seen there as well at the right side of the page. I don’t know how to deleate them, i didn’t found any option. How can i ?

I think you are referring to the “Recent Bookmarks” section on the Chrome default home page. You cannot directly delete those. You can click Other bookmarks, then RIGHT click and delete any bookmark you want from there.

I am having trouble with setting up bookmarks or favorites on chrome. Using the tools I tried to import my bookmarks from firefox and my favorites from explorer. some came over, but not all. My bookmark toolbar was not imported and the sites I brought to the top of my favorites list for easy use did not come over also.
I went to the bookmark line at the right of the screen to try and fix this, and unckecked the bookmark This caused the line to go away, and now I can’t find anything to click on to restore the checkmark. There is nothing on my screen referring to favorites except the star on the address line, and this goes nowhere helpful.
I guess I could take it off and download chrome again, but I wanted to try and work through this so others could figure out how to add or edit favorites on chrome. Plenty of potential bugs in my opinion.
