My business benefits from folks not reading my articles & tips

Since 1996, I made it my mission to share every bit of pertinent digital knowledge that I acquired with anyone willing to visit the site. It astounds me to this day how many computer users refuse to read and refuse to learn. Truly, 40-50% of the house and business calls I make every week would evaporate if the computer user had read my articles and tips on a regular basis and followed their advice. This is especially true regarding security problems computer users encounter.

One comment I receive constantly goes something like this, “I have looked at your site (or listened to you on the radio) and don’t understand any of it.”

One of my other missions was to not only make my information available, but also understandable…by the average non-geek. Every tip I write, comes with a complete step-by-step process and/or video demonstrating the steps.

Over the years, this site has accumulated a vast library of basic help, how-to and troubleshooting steps. By devoting a day or two a week to peruse what you’ve missed and then keeping up with the new information I post on a regular basis, you, too, will become a much more confident and knowledgeable computer user. And a confident, knowledgeable computer user spends less on maintenance and encounters far fewer problems than those who fly by the seat of their pants.

Visit HelpMeRick.com on a regular basis and encourage your friends and family to do the same!

  1. You are so right Rick. I find your articles and videos very helpful and very easy to understand, that is why I like them so much. Keep doing what you do and we will all benefit.

  2. I have been looking at your site for year & wouldn’t be where I’m today, if I hadn’t followed through with the many tips & straight forward instructions. I appreciate that, as you have put many hours into helping us all understand this world of knowledge we have before us. Thans again.

    1. Thanks Shirley…I also think if folks actually give the content a chance, they too will find the instructions easy to follow as well as helpful. I appreciate your vote of confidence!!

  3. Rick: It is the nature of the “beast”; I find it true too as I teach and/or help people with “stuff”. I find myself saying “just google it”, “go to Rick’s site”, BUT alas some just want the “immediate gratification” so prevalent in our society to carry over to their computer needs. 🙂
