Windows Vista continues to tank...

  • Riding Shotgun with Rick

Tedd, our computer bargain guru, ran across this article today at MSNBC.com and forwarded it to me. Basically, it concretley demonstrates the ongoing failure and low adoption rate of Windows Vista. Dell, due to lackluster Vista sales and monster customer demand, will give consumers a choice between XP and Vista on many of their machines.

Choose XP.

Billy Gates fights back!

Submitted by Smart Computer User on April 25, 2007 - 8:11pm.

I was mostly asleep last night, but I could swear I heard on the radio that MicroSoft has set a deadline for ceasing to sell XP to computer manufacturers. Rick, if you or Adam read a for-sure story about that (e.g. in "Wired" mag or something), please post the source or URL for it. Or maybe one of your readers can post something here.
I find this whole Vista saga quite fascinating. Ah, the rigors and joys of a free marketplace, where the customer is free to spend his/her money in the place of choice — or perhaps not at all! Ya gotta love it!

Consumers will have the right to choose now. That's a good thing.
