Palm Handhelds Still Work Great

Submitted by Rick on February 16, 2006 - 7:22pm.

I helped a customer setup a new Palm E2 Handheld organizer today. After nearly 10 years since the first one, they still rule the handheld market for ease of use, flexibility, portability & power.

In less than 1/2 hour, I had her entering in contacts, using the scratch pad, tracking birthdays (with reminders), using the calculator and more. The amazing thing is that we only scratched the surface of its capabilities. In the future, she can learn how to keep a complete high quality photo album, track expenses, monitor medications, and almost any other kind of data tracking she desires.

I still think Palm should release a basic Palm at the $49 level to get more people experiencing the power of a Palm handheld. You can get one today for about $80, but I think that $30 keeps too many people from considering them.

If this helped, consider buying me a beer or an Americano!
