The little circle in Vista and upcoming Vista that replaced the start button from 95/98/XP and the little round button in the upper left of Office 2007 are both referred to as orbs...the Windows Orb (old start button) and Office Orb that gets you into save and print menus in Office 2007.

Rick -
The free download site gives several to choose from. Which do you recommend?
Thanks,
Bill

Unfortunately, it doesn't always work. In those cases, it is best to download and use that free add-on spell checker linked in the article.

Like Jim Gunn, I also did all of your recommended steps - twice - but my Outlook Express is still doing spell check in French. I then followed your link to a download but wqs not sure which of the options there would be a direct fix for the Outlook. Your advice is greatly appreciated and I hope we can get this fixed.
Thanks,
Bill

I was not successful in changing to the English language for spell check. I followed your directions and closed Word and turned off the computer. It was downloading 14 files before it shut down the computer. Do you have any other suggestions of what I may be doing wrong to get this spell check corrected to the English language?
