I don't quite understand your question. It is not possible to edit incoming messages with any program. You can forward or reply to a message and then edit what you write.

When I receive an email in my gmail account that asks for answers to numerous questions, I cannot type the answers on the message and hit reply. In Outlook this is possible (in the Actions box, hit Edit Messages).

Do you know how to edit incoming messages in Gmail?

Rick,
If you would like, I can write an article on how to make a functioning 256k USB key that will boot a GUI LINUX, firefox, and other necessary tools that can be booted from on a 'dead' puter and could help someone recover their data.
People are basically giving away these smaller usb keys and they WILL recover a bad booting computer and usually identify a malfunctioning hard drive.
