Outlook Express

Some times the option listed in your article is NOT available. And there is no "save as" option under "File"

In those cases, click on "forward" for the message containing the picture.

In the pop up message to be forwarded, click on "File" (upper left corner of pop up message).

Click on "Save attachments as" and select the folder you want to use to save the picture.

Click on "OK" (or save - don't recall off hand what option is offered).

Close pop up message without saving (or go ahead and forward the message if you were going to anyway).

I have a question about free AVG which I use, after crashing with Norton.
I have 4 items in the safe vault. Once they're found, why aren't they automatically deleted? Why are worms, etc, saved?
Thanx,
Anne in GJ

Embedded photos: Open message. In menu, click on "Other Actions',then 'View in Browser.' The browser will open with pix. You can then a right-click on the pictures you want and do a 'Save picture as'

Iam still having problems, when I did as you said and right clicked on the paper clip in the bar where it was shown with the word attachments next to it and saved to my pictures as New Year 2008 when I actually went into my photos all I had was a picture of a tiny paper clip in the middle of the screen

This tip is for attachments sent as photos (usually JPG files). Word files have the picture embedded in them and can't be extracted.
