try plugging the phone cord into another jack in the back of the fax machine (if there is one) and the fax should go through

Thanks, I bought a Brother MFC-5460 on ebay as parts or repair with no manual and was winging it-simply had the line in the wrong spot, lol. It sent finally! Thank you for the quick response, I would have took it as junk on the fax part.

GotFreeFax.com is another website that allows user to send free fax online to the US and Canada. User can either upload a PDF/Word file or enter text to fax. It does not add Ads to user's fax, which makes it suitable for faxing formal documents.
