Then I tried to ask a questiob about all the "refurbished" items from major manufacutrers and that I tried to get many web sites like Computer Shopper, Tiger Diret to commwnt on their experience with refurbished items. NEVER got a reply nor saw anyting on the internet ! Somehow I tried to add another comment and the whole thing went to cyberspace. Would appreciate you guys looking into this. The reason there are so many refurbished items on the market is simply that sometimes a manufacturer will make a string of items with a fault; over time they get the items sent back to them, so they fix the problem, and resell them as refurbished items. Refurbished items almost always have the same warranty from the manufacturer as a new item, and most stores have like a thirty day return period. As I said regarding the open box items, find out what the policy is before you buy. I have had good luck so far with open box and refurbished items.
