I called the repair shop to schedule a time to bring in our car and have it checked. The auto tech guy said, &quot;Oh yes, be sure and check your gas cap. If it&#039;s not screwed in tightly, the check engine light will come on, and then your cruise control stops working as well&quot;.

Hmmmmmmmmm, okay, makes sense ;-) Not really but hey, if this is the issue, it sure is an easy one to remedy!
