When it's on the cruise control stops working. I called the repair shop to schedule a time to bring in our car and have it checked. The auto tech guy said, "Oh yes, be sure and check your gas cap. If it's not screwed in tightly, the check engine light will come on, and then your cruise control stops working as well".
