While we discussed encryption, you may also consider password protection.
1. You could use WinZip and password protect a zipped folder or file.
2. Lockngo is a program that password protects all kinds of drives.
3. Folder Lock is another program that password locks any flash drive.
We had a caller who had a problem importing and exporting her address book in Outlook Express. While we still haven't found a solution for her exact problem, this link will take you to Microsoft's support site that explain's how to repair and reinstall Outlook Express.

If your hard drive crashes and you need to find your Outlook Express addressbook – here is where you will find it in Windows XP.
C:/Documents and Settings/(your user folder)/Application Data/Microsoft/Addressbook/(here you will find your addressbook).
Before you try this maked sure you go into Tools/Folder Options and choose to show hidden folders.
The addressbook will be called something like "addressbook.wab" you can also search for the address book by going to Start->Find/Search. Type in "*.wab"
WARNING: This tip involves editing the Registry, so only perform these steps IF you feel comfortable making changes to a part of the computer where one wrong move can bring your whole system down.

This is a short note to help those folks who are having problems with opening Word documents after a critical update from Windows last week. It appears it is unique to folks with some specific HP software.
After studying it, I would recommend going to Add/Remove Programs and remove the HP Share-to-Web program (unless you are really using that feature…most people don’t). If you do use that feature or want to learn more about the cause and fix for this problem. Visit Microsoft’s Support site and read their article.
