How to print the contents of any folder in Windows – Video Tip

How to print the contents of any folder in Windows – Video Tip

Microsoft provides a set of instructions for adding the ability to print the contents of a folder in Windows XP or Vista, but the instructions will be over the head of many computer users. Years ago, I found and added a free folder print utility called FolderPrint to my web site. In all those years, however, I never provided a clear set of instructions on how to utilize that helpful little tool…until now.

You can download theĀ free FolderPrint utility by clicking here. Save it to a known location on your computer. Since it is a ZIP file, you will need to uncompress it by dragging its contents to your desktop or other folder. I show you how to do this in the video below and give you a run through of all the features that make this such a helpful tool. Enjoy having the ability to print the contents of any folder from starting today!

Thanks Rick! Tips like this justify the price of admission to your website :) . I’ve been using a free program called PrintFolder from No Nonsense Software for awhile, but I just tried the internal Windows set up and it works great. I’ll probably remove the PrintFolder software now just to keep the clutter down on my PC.

Your print folder program works great.

Is there any way to increase the size of the font on the print output?

Us older guys haved trouble reading the small font.

I’m sorry you are having problems, but I just reviewed my steps in the video and tried it from scratch on my Windows 7 machine and it works fine. If you aren’t able to figure it out, I would be glad to help you via remote hookup.

    Hi Rick
it’s that man again thanks’ for your reply ” how to print the contents of
    any folder in windows “,
I give it a few more tries, clicking on the blue icon,( there was a light in the window but no one at home), so I uninstalled it twice and reinstalled it, I gave my self 2 stars for that, no problem a blue icon on the on the
desk top both times, and that’s as far as I can go, if I am going to open that
folder I’m going to need some TNT.
I sent an e-mail reply to to a guy in the states about flight simulators, that’s what I am interested in,
shut down and had some lunch.
I decided to send you a reply and thank you for your e-mail, but first I run
your video threw a few more times,I reduced the window so that I could follow it step by step, as I did before.
back to my e-mail but just one more try left click nothing, right click nothing. back to the e-mail,I hit the send the e-mail said no, do a spell check ok, now send the e-mail no, working off line ok,
don’t ask I didn’t hit the button, I went to file to hit online made a slip up hit exit, after the dust had settled I got a menu for printer on my desk top and all is ok.
are you any relation to Harry Potter and what was that about the hook up thanks a lot talk next time i’m liking this site for beginners more and more.

Well it worked with ease the first time. The next folder I tried to print doesn’t show. The folder definitely exists because I can open it. I’ll keep trying but it’s a great program.
