How to print the contents of any folder in Windows – Video Tip

Microsoft provides a set of instructions for adding the ability to print the contents of a folder in Windows XP or Vista, but the instructions will be over the head of many computer users. Years ago, I found and added a free folder print utility called FolderPrint to my web site. In all those years, however, I never provided a clear set of instructions on how to utilize that helpful little tool…until now.

You can download the free FolderPrint utility by clicking here. Save it to a known location on your computer. Since it is a ZIP file, you will need to uncompress it by dragging its contents to your desktop or other folder. I show you how to do this in the video below and give you a run through of all the features that make this such a helpful tool. Enjoy having the ability to print the contents of any folder from starting today!

  1. Thanks Rick! Tips like this justify the price of admission to your website :) . I’ve been using a free program called PrintFolder from No Nonsense Software for awhile, but I just tried the internal Windows set up and it works great. I’ll probably remove the PrintFolder software now just to keep the clutter down on my PC.

  2. Thanks Rick
