The past couple of weeks, I’ve spent many hours cleaning up some behind the scenes, under the hood type things here at HelpMeRick.com. I promise not to make any major changes to the web site again, but I continue to strive to find just the right place for everything on the site.
Making my tips and tricks and video tutorials easy to find, easy to read, and easy to share are my goals.
I will probably move the search box back to the very top of the page, and put the category listing of my tips near it. And I’m working on a way to bring back a list of articles in each category instead of the full text of the tips/articles being listed. I think the title listing seemed to be an easier way to browse through the massive collection of tips that have accumulated here since 1996.
Lastly, I always welcome usability feedback from you…the HelpMeRick.com visitor. Please leave a comment below with the things you like about the site, things you would like to see change, and maybe even adding something that you feel is missing.

Your site is a very helpful resource.
You are too kind…thanks for the feedback.
I have always liked the way your site has a nice, clean format, Rick. It is very easy to read and find what you are looking for.
Thanks a lot for all your help with me and others!
Appreciate it Chris…haven’t gotten to my changes yet…but soon!
How do we get the free version of AVG which you so kindly put many of us on a few years back

My sister sent me your article about “cleaning up your PC”, and when I got to the part for “deep cleaning”, everything was fine til I got to the part that said to click on “owner”, and I clicked on my name, and them temp folder, select all, push delete on keyboard, then “yes”…..that’s when it gets screwy. It will not allow me to delete most of these, and they are mostly shortcut things, so, being the novice that I am…I just backed out of it. 🙂 What am I doing wrong????
Will appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you
Hello Marie. Many times, programs will have files in these temp folders that are being used so then you can’t delete the. Nothing to worry about, perfectly Normal. If you want to automate the process, read my CCleaner tip.
