I really love English Bulldogs. Recently I became aware of a common pet scam that is based on every other over seas Internet scam. Someone from Cameroon posts a desired breed up for a ridiculously low price. He/she asks for money plus shipping. You never get the dog. Here is my recent correspondence with one such scammer. I have resorted the posts from oldest to newest so you can enjoy the events as they occurred. For reference, here are the photos the scammer sent with the email. Keep in mind that these are the actual size photos that were sent!

Absolute gold, I was in tears as I read, we nearly fell for the same thing but for a damn sheep!!!! These Camaroonies are loony.
Oh my goodness i’m so glad i decided to google this Cameroon place it was so fishy, when i emailed the lady it was already fishy that the ad stated she lived in Atlanta Ga and so i offered to drive there to pick up the baby chihuahua she was like she work for the united nations and was in Washington but then i received shipping information to pay by western union to somewhere in Africa then i started thinking this has to be some kind of a scam.They made it seem like you were getting the puppy free and just paying to transfer the puppy in your name i’m so glad they almost got me.
This just happened to us, today. We were going to get 2 Yorkie “Tea Cups” for $180! Cheap, huh. Whell, the Man/Woman went by the name of Anabel Lolo. They said they live in LA. They were bringing the puppies, NOW to LAX airport. I never said I would definately take the dogs. So, I will call him a “he.” He, sai he will start getting the dogs inshipping, and get the order confirmed. I needed to send the $180 by moneygram to the Animailers to LAX. So, we went to Walmart, got the money order, sent it. We live maybe 3 minutes away from walmart. I emailed the guy back, let him know I have the Money gram. I sent the reffrence # to “Animailers. THEN, I checked Animailers, online. I called then, because it says they are based in Maryland. They said it was a SCAM!! SO, we called the Moneygram, right away, and caught it in the nick of time! It didn’t make it to Africa!! I then sent an Email to Anabel?? Saying he was a scammer, and what an aweful thing to do. You didn’t catch this American…He then CALLED me!! And said he has never got treatment from any person, like I treated him! He just tried scamming me!! What a freaking idiot!!

i’ve come across many of these scams while searching for a puppy for my son. the bottom line is if they want the money up front, especially western union, then its a scam!!!! i’ve replied to many of these people calling them out with their scam and they just stopped responding to me. i feel sorry for all the people who have gotten scammed. the scammers will all burn in hell when their time comes!!!

SO I STARTED TO THINK SO I GOT SCAMED OUT OF MY MONEY Y DONT I SEE THAT ITS A SCAM MADE A FAKE EMAIL ON YAHOO AND SENT THEM A MSG SAYING: MY FRIEND SAID THAT U HAD BULL DOG PUPPIES FOR ADOPITION WAS WOUNDERING HOW MUCH AND CAN I SEE PICTURES OF THEM WOULD LOVE TO GET MY WIFE ONE!
WISH I COULD FIND OUT WHERE THIS PERSON WAS AND KICK THEM IN THE FACE FOR DOING THIS TO PPL!
THIS LADY IS A FRAUD, THERE ARE NO PUPPIES, BEWARE!!
SHE CLAIMS TO ALSO BREED BEAGLES, BULL DOGS, WELSH CORGIS, GOLDEN RETRIEVERS AND GERMAN SHEPARDS.
Things to look out for:
No email address with au at the end, because she does not even live in Australia
She cannot supply a phone number claiming that she does not have a phone line but yet she has the internet
If you google her email she also claims to live in Perth, Hobart, Canberra, Adelaide, Sydney and Darwin.
The time on her response to the emails does not add up e.g she would send an email to us five minutes after we had sent an email to her and the time difference was vastly different.
The english skills were very poor, and the puppy photos supposedly of the same puppy were completely different because she had just got them off the internet!
We have done alot of research about this dog breeder and other people have been scammed. She also goes under the name of alise paker, Lucy and lora hill.

We’ve nearly been caught by the scam on the Bulldog puppies. Since our own Bulldog of eight years died just after Xmas it was a heaven sent add in our SA Junk Mail for a puppy.
Once on the go with the e-mails and our heart strings at near break we realised that this is a scam.
The e-mail wording is all the same the stories all the same and I can only warn people NOT TO GET BOXED IN!
Do not i repeat DO NOT adopt or buy a puppy dog cat alien i dont care what it is dont buy it from cameroon it is one bit scam city! you will get fake emails of freight flights and conact with the so called supplier pleading with you to take care of there much loved puppy. i wondered but got caught up in the scam but they just want more money for injections and other things DO NOT use western union to pay through money never pay for something unless you bhave it in your hand all these idiots have been reported though the polie yet they carry on some names to be aware of

Please do not go there if its cheap theres something wrong if the postage is included theres summit wrong if they post world wide just dont go there! be so carefull what you do they just dont do it please!
I can’t believe how uneducated people are falling for these obviously stupid scams. First, a dog is an animal and most countries will not allow to just cross borders without plenty of paperwork…if the country you live in depends on agriculture for its gnp, then there will probably be a long term of quarantine of 30-180 days…besides, do you know how much it would cost to ship a dog from Africa?? More money than it would cost to buy the dog where you live…now do you feel really stupid??? Get a life and stop trying to get stuff on the cheap…unless you are physically in front of the person with the dog or other low priced item you probably will get ripped off.

i had a bulldog which delivered a few puppies, i would get pissed if any1 gets near but it didn’t say anything 2 my infant lil sis when she approached its puppies. So intellegent
I just went and wired money to one of these people about a tea cup Yorkie then after seeing this i ran up to were i sent out the money and told them to cancel it. so they told me i had to call western union myself so i did and they canceled it. Im so glad that i came across this. I also talked to a rep. at western union and told them they should let anybody know before sending money to Cameroon that more then likely this is a scam. They said that they will make a note of it and if more people would let them know these things they could take action.Thanks again this page just saved me 146.00 dollars.

It’s called the 419 scam, after the Nigerian Penal code for Cheating. This Pet scam is not new…just buy your dogs locally…even those are not guaranteed…
I found this ad on OODLE.com, it was placed by a woman named Sharon Spiltfer stating that ahe had a bull dog pup for sale in PINE GROVE La, when I contacted her she said the pup had sold that morning but quickly pointed me to a customer of hers who had bought a puppie, moved to Africa and now wanted to send the pup back to the states. The man she pointed me to was a Pastor Holmberg. He comes accros as a man of God very willing to work with you on cost of sending pup to you, but can not answer one question about God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit. Nor can he tell you the shipping agents name phone number or any thing eles such as shot dates for the pup date heath certificate was issued or other important infromation the AIRLINES NEED to transport the pup! Beware!!!!!! PASTOR MATHEW HOLMBERG and SHARON SPILTFER they are frauds!!!!!!
