Backup of your important data is always an essential part of using technology. Here is a quick tutorial on how to backup your Outlook.com address book (same applies for live.com, msn.com, and hotmail.com users)!
To backup your address book in Outlook.com email, follow these steps:
- Click the ‘bento box’ menu in the upper left corner of the screen
- Click People
- Click Manage from the upper center of the screen
- Click Export Contacts
- Click Export button
- A copy of your address book will download as: contacts.csv
- Copy this file to a flash drive
CSV files also allow you to open them in any spreadsheet program where you can manipulate the data, print the data, etc.
