How to download and install CutePDF Free – Video Tip

CutePDF has been one of my favorite computer utilities for many years. This small (free) utility lets you create a PDF (portable document format) file from anything that you can print. I use it to save web pages, online shopping receipts, and many other items that I might be tempted to print to paper. Instead, I print it using CutePDF and save the resulting PDF file in a folder for long term storage and retrieval. No paper, printer, or ink necessary!

Watch this short video to learn how to download and install this useful tool. They also have a Pro version available for purchase that gives computer users with more robust needs a great tool for editing, merging, and converting PDF documents.

  1. Hi Rick. So Cute PDF creates small files? I often find when I’m saving PDF versions of magazine articles that these are HUGE files. Is there a difference in file size between “save to pdf” and “print to cute PDF”?

    1. Hello Helen! Thanks for the note. CutePDF does create pretty small files, and there are a few options for compressing photos to further reduce the sizes as well. It’s sort of an art, so play with your various tools and settings to get the optimum size for your needs.
