My daughter needed to know how to start automatic page numbering in Microsoft Word 2007 with a number other than one for a school publication. She and her classmates couldn’t figure it out, so she asked me. I put together a quick video to demonstrate the technique for her, and decided to share it with you as well. Enjoy.

This was good for starting numbering 1 on a different page, but what if you want the numbering to begin with page 4?
I am editing a book for publication and I need different headers on alternate pages and then when the chapter change, I need to once again change the headers.
The only way I can think to do this is to create separate files for each chapter.
Is there a more simple way to do this?
Thanks for your help. The video was great!
