Interesting data in my site stats

I use Google Analytics to monitor my site data. I check the statistics about once per month, but after checking yesterday, I noticed a few interesting trends:

  • Less than 3% of visitors coming to HelpMeRick.com use a dial-up connection. I thought this would still be up around 10% or higher.
  • Firefox visitors trail Internet Explorer visitors by less than 14%
  • Google Chrome (which has been out less than a year) visitors nearly out number Apple Safari visitors.
  • Microsoft Windows makes up 92% of my visitors which matches pretty well with national trends. Windows visitors used to make up nearly 98% of my visitors just 4 years ago.

I’m posting some screen shots here for you to take a look at and make your own observations. Do you see any surprises or oddities?

One statistic I would love to see increase is the number of visitors to the site. With your help, we could double traffic to the site to more than 100,00 per month! Please tell your friends and family about HelpMeRick.com

  1. Interesting statistics. I thought you might like to know, also, that your email is getting to me every day now (or seems like it is daily?) since you started using Blitz instead of the other one. Nothing I tried made it where I got a copy. I never got email from you even though I signed up several times in class to try and make it happen. Thanks for all your hard work making us smarter 🙂

    1. Great news! Yes, the email is now daily and through a different provides. So, hopefully it reaches everyone. Make sure to refer your friends and family to the site and have them sign up for the new and improved newsletter. Thanks.
