One of my main goals here at HelpMeRick.com is to help make computers and technology a usable, productive tool for ALL computer/tech users. The information contained within these digital walls does just that…providing you read and practice the tips. I often stand on my backup soap box here on the web site as well as with my clients and on my radio show. The backup soap box makes a frequent appearance with me because so many people have problems with losing data.
This week, a brilliant comic written by Brian Basset and Rob Harrell provided an excellent illustration of the absurdity of losing data. Here are the middle two strips from this week’s series. If you like comic strips like I do, click here to read the first one, then use the navigation arrows to read the rest of the week’s strips.
A month ago I got message on HP laptop saying an update to Windows 10 was available. I backed up my hard drive before doing so. To this date, the Windows keeps saying not enough space. I deleted everything I can and still get the message. I’m now ready to forget the update and restore by backup. So glad I backed up my hRd drive.
Thanks for writing! Always a good idea to back up. If you are running fine with your current version of Windows, don’t worry about the update!
