I created these notes for a client today who visits many sites with text that prints small. She knows how to make the screen text larger, and I referred to the tips (below) about printing from the web, but sometimes good ol’ copy and paste is necessary to truly get the look you want on paper.
- Learn how to use the Printer Friendly Option – Video Tip
- How to Save Time & Money when printing Email – Video Tip
- Print ONLY what you want – Multi-tip
Note in my notes for this customer that I used Paste Special vs. regular Paste. The reason for using Paste Special is to strip away any settings transferred over from the web during the Copy phase. This allows you to truly work with the text in the word processor vs. have to work around all the HTML code that gets copied with the text. Try it both ways to see why Paste Special works better.
keep up the good work rick
Hi Rick. I don’t find “paste special” in word….
If you are using either Word 2007 or Word 2010, you will find the Paste Special by clicking the small drop down arrow next to the Paste button (clipboard icon). Thanks Helen!
